Sertoma History and Information
Local Sertoma Club Links:
For the past century and for the next 100 years, Sertoma’s purpose has been and will be to serve our communities and to improve the lives of those who need our help and to meet the needs of communities through volunteer service.
Sertoma’s vision is to create communities of change under common leadership and with a common voice that will serve the many in need.
Sertoma’s mission is to improve the quality of life today, through education and support, for those at risk or impacted by hearing loss.
In addition to this focus, Sertoma also supports and sponsors community projects to further freedom and democracy, local youth, and many other community-based needs as determined by each individual club.
Sertoma’s 4th of July Celebration is the perfect event for bringing our citizens together and celebrating freedom and democracy. With a day full of events, families can enjoy free activities for their children (rock climbing wall, bounce houses, pony rides, meet and greet with characters, face painting, etc.), music in the park throughout the day, hot dog eating contest, concert in the evening, and the Gulf Coast’s Largest Fireworks Display over Pensacola Bay.
2017 is the 28th year that area Sertoma Clubs have worked together on the 4th of July Celebration and Fireworks Presentation for the enjoyment of all Escambia County residents and visitors. As the costs have continued to grow, our support has dwindled. If we are going to continue to organize this event, we need your help. We want to continue organizing this event for the next 28 years!
