Join the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra for a free 4th of July concert at the Hunter Amphitheater overlooking Pensacola Bay in Vince Whibbs Community Maritime Park. This family-friendly event kicks off at 7:30p with the United States Marine Corps color guard presenting the colors for our National Anthem and a United States Navy fly-over is planned. Symphony Maestro Peter Rubardt will take the stage with the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra for a patriotic performance of pieces we know and love including Armed Forces Solute, Stars and Stripes Forever, music from The Avengers and more.
“We’re thrilled to have the chance to play for our home town audience on this most special of holidays,” says the Symphony’s Maestro Peter Rubardt. “We’ll be playing a lot of our favorite songs: patriotic favorites, popular movie themes, big band jazz, and more. In the gorgeous setting of the Community Maritime Park Amphitheater, this will be the perfect way to celebrate America”.
Stay after 9:00p for the Sertoma’s 4th of July Fireworks which are synchronized with music from CatCountry 98.7FM. This music will be broadcast on the Symphony’s huge Line Array sound system at Community Maritime Park.
This will be the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra’s first performance in Pensacola for the 4th of July! Everyone is encouraged to bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and coolers to the Amphitheater at Community Maritime Park and enjoy a full evening of the Symphony and Sertoma’s 4th of July Fireworks.
